TIMM Culture Collection

　 Our Institute maintains stock cultures on many fungal species. The collection, called the TIMM collection, is composed mainly of clinically isolated pathogenic fungi spanning a wide spectrum of the fungal taxonomy, and standard strains that are related to the clinical isolates taxonomically, morphological, immunologically or physiologically. As of October 1996, 6223 strains belonging to 171 species and 57 genera were being maintained.
